NUAA wins national recognition in engineering training competition

Two teams of international students from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) won second prizes at a national competition in Shenyang, Liaoning province on June 10.
Focused on undergraduate engineering students, the biennial competition was an opportunity for 103 Chinese and 10 overseas student teams to show their engineering skills and well-managed teamwork.
It was the first time foreign students of NUAA have taken part in the national event. They stood out in the obstacle race featuring carbon-free cars avoiding items located along S-shaped and 8-shaped routes.
It was far from simply assembling a car and letting it run. The un-motorized vehicles – which gained momentum only from mechanical and gravitational energy – were a product of the participants’ range of abilities from mechanical and technical design to cost analysis and engineering management.
