The Nanjing Technical Vocational College (NTVC) has been selected by Malaysia as one of three test centers for architectural capabilities.

The Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has set up three test centers in China to cope with increasing domestic demand for skilled construction laborers, said chairman Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali at the Feb 15 inauguration ceremony in Nanjing.

Under the scheme, the Nanjing Technical Vocational College and CIDB will share academic resources, build a training base, and take part in student exchange programs.

The setting up of the CIDB test centers is a boon for China’s Belt and Road initiative and will boost economic and trade relations between China and Malaysia, said officials.

Established in 2005 as a Sino-Germany cooperation project in vocational education, NTVC adopts German teaching models, and has fostered a large number of professionals for famous companies from home and abroad, including Bosch Siemens, Lenovo Group and Nanjing Metro.
