Jiangsu Institute of Urban and Rural Construction is a college-level institute for higher vocational education under the administration of the Jiangsu Provincial Housing & Urban and Rural Development Department.

The Institute is located in Changzhou, a city in China's Yangtze River Delta Economic Belt. In 2015, it began to enroll high school graduates for three-year higher vocational education and middle school graduates for the five-year higher vocational training programs.

The Institute also has programs for adult education, on-the-job training and appraisal for professional skills, and be responsible to cultivate high-quality professionals in urban and rural construction sector.

There are about 7,000 full-time students and over 400 staff members, including 350 plus teachers with bachelor's degree, 104 teachers with vice senior academic title, and 113 with master's or higher degree.

It has more than 110 rooms for professional training and experiments, over 6,000 seats for internship training, and 160 plus training bases outside the campus.

The disciplines include Architectural Arts, Civil Engineering, Management Engineering, Public Utility and Equipment Engineering. There is also a Basic Department.

The Institute has five provincial demonstration disciplines, three provincial brand disciplines, and four five-year vocational programs with provincial awards, and seven municipal demonstration disciplines.
