Musical bridge connects overseas students in China

An international student orchestra from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SCM) visited Soochow University for an exchange activity on May 4.
The orchestra, composed of 11 students from Malaysia, Canada, France and Columbia had a meeting with overseas student representatives who are studying orchestral music and music education at Soochow University.

The students exchanged ideas on academic study and extracurricular life, which gave the students an expanded artistic horizon and inspiration for creation.
The SCM delegation also gave performances featuring dances, instrument solos and ensembles, offering them a stage to showcase their talents.
The activity was ended by an improvisation given by Angela Cholakyan, a pianist at Soochow University, and a SCM student of clarinet.
After the performance, the SCM delegation paid a visit to the campus of Soochow University.
