Overseas students enjoy first campus singing competition

The first campus singing competition for overseas students, in which 14 top-notch participants from different countries took part, has been successfully organized in the evening of March 18 by the School of International Education, according to the Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
The competition had final on Friday after the preliminary rounds. They presented songs in many languages and enriched performances with musical instruments along with dances. At last, a girl from Kazakhstan stood out to win the first prize with a moving Chinese song. In addition to the top three winners, 6 judges also granted three single awards as the Best Vitality, Best Costume Designer and Best Chinese Style.
University officials said that because of the activity, students from abroad and home build a good communication with each other through music. Presently, more than 800 overseas students from over 70 countries and regions are studying in the university. More cultural events will be created for their spirit of life in campus.
