Cultural exchange program invites foreign students to Jiangsu

Two students delegations from Canada and Australia visited Nanjing Senior High School in Jiangyin, Jiangsu province, on Nov 21-Dec 9.

The students were taking part in the "Discover Jiangsu – Youth Leader Cultural Immersion Program", organized by the Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange (JESIE).
The program offered a series of Chinese language and cultural courses on calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and opera and tai chi.

The students also visited scenic spots in Suzhou, Nanjing and Shanghai and learned about the history of these cities.
The "Discover Jiangsu – Youth Leader Cultural Immersion Program", initiated in July 2015, aims to enhance education cooperation between Jiangsu and foreign countries. It provides financial support for foreign students to attend short-term language courses and exchange activities. So far, more than 150 foreign students and teachers have taken part.
