UN Secretary General Speaks at Nanjing University

A symposium on "youth participation in development for all" was held at the Johns Hopkins - Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, on Aug 10.
United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon attended the symposium and delivered a speech.
Ban expressed his appreciation of the efforts China has made in the development of youth, and expressed his hope that China would continue taking the lead in this respect.
Ban was granted an NJU honorary doctorate On Oct 31, 2010. He expressed his gratitude for what Nanjing University has done for the UN in the past 60 years.
