The 27th "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament (Boys' Under-12 Division) kicked off on July 14 in Fenghuang town, Zhangjiagang, bringing together promising young footballers from around the world.
Running through July 19, this year's tournament features youth teams from China, South Korea, Thailand and Italy, offering a platform for both high-level competition and international friendship through sport. A total of 48 matches will be played over the six-day event.
In addition to the official competition, the tournament also includes a series of friendly matches featuring the Qinghai Lake "Little Waves" Girls' Football Team, the Ningde Xiapu Beibei Team, and Taiwan's Anchor Football Club. The exchange program is designed to transcend regional and gender boundaries, giving young football enthusiasts more opportunities to connect through the sport, build friendships and learn from one another.
Founded in 1983, the "Beibei Cup" is China's earliest national youth football tournament. Over the past four decades, it has grown into the country's longest-running and most influential football competition for young players, playing a key role in nurturing emerging football talent while promoting cultural exchange among participating teams.
