A reading event in Zhangjiagang was held at the square of Tianzhuang Ancient Street in Fenghuang town on April 20.
The square was transformed into a literary market. Residents could participate in interactive activities such as intangible cultural heritage experiences, book exchanges, and bartering books for vegetables using stamp cards. Local culture, including Heyang rice cakes and Heyang folk songs, was integrated with reading, allowing residents to enjoy the pleasures of reading in a lively atmosphere.
During this reading week, Zhangjiagang also plans to host an exhibition, a lecture, a study tour, and approximately 250 reading activities around the city.
