The entire southern line of the Zhangjiagang Urban Expressway was opened to traffic on March 31, further strengthening the city's transportation network.
This route connects the central urban area and the high-speed rail hub, facilitating rapid passenger and freight transportation. It serves as a core engine for accelerating regional integration, alleviating urban traffic congestion, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Currently, the Zhangjiagang Urban Expressway has 49 kilometers open to traffic, which accounts for 83 percent of the total mileage, achieving the goal of enabling travel within 30 minutes to Zhangjiagang Station from the main economic zones within the city.
