A signing ceremony for an Artificial Intelligence & High-Performance Specialty Fiber Intelligent Manufacturing Project was held in Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone on March 20.
The project, jointly developed by Suzhou Longjie and Jiangsu Newamstar, is based on a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($144.71 million). It plans to build an intelligent manufacturing workshop for high-performance specialty fibers, an intelligent three-dimensional warehouse, and a research and development center.
The project will use AI technology to enhance production efficiency, optimize management levels, and reduce overall costs, aiming to create an industry-leading smart factory. Upon reaching full production capacity, the project is expected to add an annual production capacity of approximately 50,000 metric tons and generate annual sales of about 800 million yuan.
During the event, Suzhou Longjie and Jiangsu Newamstar also signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties will further strengthen mutual trust, promote mutual benefits, and collaborate to drive high-quality regional economic development.
