A signing ceremony for the EcoCeres green fuel project, totaling $100 million in investment, was held in Zhangjiagang on March 17.

EcoCeres Group, headquartered in Hong Kong, stands at the forefront of the renewable fuels sector, specializing in the conversion of waste biomass into sustainable energy sources. The company has production bases in Zhangjiagang and Malaysia, enabling it to efficiently scale up its operations and enhance its supply chain for biomass recycling.

The signed green fuel frontier technology production and research integration project will focus on the research and large-scale production of new green fuels and their core catalysts, further expanding the company's technological presence in the new energy sector.

The company has already established two firms in the Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone: ECO Biochemical Technology and ECO Low Carbon Technology, laying a solid industrial and technological foundation for this new project.

Zhao Zihua, senior vice-president of EcoCeres Group, said that the Zhangjiagang base has become an important production, manufacturing, and technology R&D platform in EcoCeres' global layout.

"The realization of the new project not only marks an expansion of EcoCeres' investment scale but also represents a comprehensive upgrade at the technical level. We believe that the independent R&D capabilities of the Zhangjiagang base will continue to be strengthened, becoming a platform for technological innovation based in China and serving Asia in the future," said Zhao.
