The Plum Blossom Ridge of Xiangshan Mountain in Zhangjiagang has entered its prime viewing season, with nearly 10,000 plum trees in full bloom.
The 2026 Xiangshan Chinese-Style Plum Blossom Festival also kicked off, featuring a variety of activities, including interactive photo spots, intangible cultural heritage craft workshops, and classic Xiju opera performances. Traditional culture blended with the poetic charm of the plum blossoms.
Guo Jiacheng, a resident from Zhangjiagang, said, "I visit Xiangshan Mountain every year, and it never fails to amaze me. This year's activities are especially rich, with a strong festive atmosphere and beautiful artistic charm."
Xiangshan Mountain Scenic Area welcomed nearly 20,000 visitors daily during the Spring Festival holiday. The peak occurred on the fourth day of Chinese New Year, when about 30,000 visitors came to admire the plum blossoms and immerse themselves in the poetic ambiance of the new spring season.
