A new low-altitude passenger route linking Wuxi Bus Station with Shanghai's Pudong New District completed its inaugural test flight on Jan 15.

Operated by Shanghai New Sky Helicopter, the route spans 155 kilometers and delivers passengers in a swift 40-minute journey, ensuring efficient connectivity between the hearts of both cities.

Upon arrival at the Pudong flight base, a convenient shuttle service transports passengers to the Shanghai Pudong International Airport terminal, making subsequent travel connections seamless.

Driving from Wuxi to Pudong airport typically takes about three hours, while using a combination of high-speed rail and subway transfers requires nearly two hours. The helicopter service provides a much more efficient and comfortable alternative.

The introductory one-way fare for this route is set at 698 yuan ($100.28), with initial operations starting at one flight per day. The service will officially launch soon and travelers can book flights through the New Sky Flight (新空飞行) applet on WeChat.
