The Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Education on Dec 17 released its latest teaching arrangements for middle and primary schools in the city to ensure the safety of teachers and students amid pandemic outbreaks.
Starting from Dec 19, all elementary school students, students of first- and second-grade junior high schools, and high school freshmen will stay home and participate in online classes.
Third-grade junior high school students and second- and third-grade high school students can either go to school or apply to attend online classes at home.
All schools are required to adequately arrange onsite and online teaching to ensure strong results.
Students attending class in-person are required to undergo nucleic acid testing according to regulations, and the monitoring of the health conditions of teachers and students will be continuously strengthened.
These arrangements also apply to secondary vocational schools and special education schools in Wuxi. Kindergarten students in the city have started their holiday ahead of schedule.
