The motorcycle and electric vehicle export facility in Wuxi's Xishan district has recently been officially approved one of the national export quality and safety demonstration zones by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, marking a new step forward in the city's export facility development.
The district's motorcycle and electric vehicle exports exceeded $200 million for the first time in 2014. A total of 173,700 electric vehicles were exported, generating $91.14 million revenues. The electric vehicle exports outpaced motorcycle exports for the first time and showed rosy prospects for future export development.

In recent years, Xishan district has undergone transformation and upgrading in an effort to further boost exports. It provided support to competitive industries, strengthened supply chain quality management for motorcycle and electric vehiclea, upgraded quality of finished automobile for exports and pushed for rapid export growth through efforts in brand, quality, technology and services development.
The export facility will focus on transformation and upgrading, continue to improve product quality, and strive to evolve itself into a national model for quality motorcycle and electric vehicle for export.
