The county-level city of Xinghua, administered by Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, held a spring economic and trade fair on March 22, attracting the participation of nearly 200 businesspeople.
Chen Fengjian, Party secretary of Xinghua, said his city had a strong foundation in the real economy and had been selected as one of the top 100 county-level economic cities in China for consecutive years.
He added it had formed an industrial system that was characterized by the stainless steel materials and products industry and the health food sector.
Shao Jianfeng, mayor of Xinghua, said he looked forwards to attendees promoting matchmaking of the city's industrial opportunities and telling its positive story on social media, in a bid to attract more high-quality projects and innovative resources to the area.
Wang Yong, secretary of the Party working committee of the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, provided a briefing on his zone's competitive health food sector.
He said the zone was currently making every effort to create an industrial ecology and development environment with the lowest investment costs, the highest investment returns and optimal business environment.
Meanwhile, a combined land handover ceremony for 19 projects also took place during the fair, including two major projects worth over 5 billion yuan ($688.5 million) each and three foreign-funded projects.
