Xinghua city, situated in East China's Jiangsu province, held a health industry promotion conference on March 6 in Shanghai, showcasing its cultural and tourism resources, industry conditions, and dynamic development environment.
Chen Fengjian, Xinghua's Party secretary, said that his city's agricultural, cultural and tourism resources were among the top of the county-level cities of Jiangsu, boasting idyllic scenery in all four seasons, rich and diverse cuisine and popular literary works.
He also highlighted Xinghua's health food sector empowered by technology and green development and invited friends from all walks of life in Shanghai to come and visit Xinghua.
Shao Jianfeng, mayor of Xinghua, said that with regard to the high-quality development of the health industry, Xinghua was focusing on health food, health and leisure and the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism.
Leveraging its formidable strengths, Xinghua was actively integrating into the Yangtze River Delta and was really connecting with Shanghai, he added.
Wang Yong, secretary of the Party working committee of the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, said the zone was as an important driving force behind the high-quality development of Xinghua.
Wang added that it would focus on promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the development and growth of emerging industries and the cultivation of future industries, building a more complete and resilient modern industrial system.
During the conference, Xinghua Cultural Tourism Development signed cooperation agreements with a number of tourism development companies in Shanghai and released Xinghua's spring tourism marketing policies.
