The 136th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, kicked off on Oct 15 and wound up on Nov 4 in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province.
The event was staged in three phases and businesses from Xinghua city, in East China's Jiangsu province, signed up 165 orders worth nearly 30 million yuan ($4.14 million).
A total of 21 Xinghua companies participated in the fair, occupying 27 stands that covered a dozen categories including electronics and electrical products, hardware, building and decorative materials and personal care equipment.
Xinghua Zhongxing Electric Manufacturing brought its solar-powered water pumps, with built-in charging stations directly converting solar energy into electrical energy.
Creatively combining toys with bathroom products, Xinghua Brother Toy Processing Factory showed its cute toy shaped bath balls, cute water toy bath sets and other products, attracting the keen interest of buyers from home and abroad.
Looking ahead, plans are for Xinghua to continue to increase its training and guidance for companies, build more communication platforms and encourage innovative development of enterprises, helping companies widen their international market appeal.
