The Second Xinghua Development Conference took place on Sept 16 in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, with the attendance of nearly 200 businesspeople and entrepreneurs who live across China and abroad but whose hometown is the county-level city.
A special city promotional video was shown at 9 am, highlighting the city's current situation and planning of special industrial areas, resource advantages, business environment and construction of innovation centers.
Chen Fengjian, Xinghua's Party secretary, told the conference that the guests mainly came from the fields of the economy and technology, and the event aimed to harness their acumen and accumulated knowledge to bolster the city's high-quality development.
Chen hoped the guests would help graft resources onto local industrial projects, cutting-edge technologies and financial capital, in a bid to help Xinghua strengthen its emerging industries and cultivate future industries.
In terms of rural vitalization, Chen hoped the guests could help utilize their competitive advantages in business matchmaking, technology and various channels to assist Xinghua in establishing cooperation mechanisms, revitalizing and utilizing resources and developing township industries.
The city also plans to continue to be a magnet for know-how and bright ideas for creating landmark projects that integrate culture and tourism.
