A group signing ceremony for four projects to be settled in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, located in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, took place on July 31.
The four projects have a total planned investment of 1.67 billion yuan ($230.97 million) and three of them will be food production and processing plants.
The four projects will use three factory buildings in the zone's Zhonghua Shigu Area B, with the total of about 40,000 square meters to be occupied.
Area B was built by the local government to accelerate the agglomeration and intensive development of the health food industry.
The area saves companies the trouble of building factory buildings themselves and will pave the way for their projects to start operations faster.
Wang Yong, deputy secretary of the zone's Party working committee, told the opening ceremony that in recent years the zone has been committed to creating a first-class business environment and attracting high-quality projects.
He added that the zone would provide high quality services for the construction of projects and it would promptly solve any difficulties and problems in the project promotions process.
