Two sci-tech innovation projects being advanced by the Taizhou Xinghua Wuxi innovation center have finished their research and development in Wuxi city and will soon start operating in Xinghua city, both located in East China's Jiangsu province.
The innovation center is under the aegis of the Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua and the School of Food Science and Technology in Jiangnan University in Wuxi.
Leveraging the technical capabilities of Jiangnan University's food industry know-how, the innovation center is mainly positioned for the technological transformation and commercialization of functional and health foods.
One of the projects, which is located in Xinghua, is a nano silicon insulation materials plant, which will start construction in late July.
It's expected to be completed by the end of the year and will generate more than 5 million ($689,150) in annual invoiced sales in 2025.
The second project focuses on the production of whole grain concentrate, which has finished installing production equipment in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone.
It's projected to start trial production at the end of July, with invoice sales topping 10 million yuan this year.
A total of 10 incubation projects have settled in the innovation center in less than a year since its establishment.
