The Xinghua Economic Development zone, along with Lincheng sub-district, where the zone is located – both in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province – held an awards conference on July 4 for developments that took place last year.
Liu Hong, member of the Standing Committee of the Xinghua Municipal Party Committee, was fulsome in his praise of the achievements that were made in 2023.
He said that over the past year, the zone took serving the development of business enterprises as its core and took project construction as being central to that – consolidating the very foundations of its overall high-quality development.
In particular, the zone performed well indeed in increasing its contribution to the city's premium economic and social advancement.
As a result, significant growth was made in the number and scale of major investment projects – as well as in optimizing the business environment, revitalizing inefficient land use and promoting industry transformation and upgrading, Liu added.
Liu Hong and Wang Yong – deputy secretary of the zone's Party working committee, together with leaders of the region – presented prizes to the award-winning individuals.
Looking ahead, goals are for the zone to continue to establish specialized industries, constructing major projects and building the zone as a first-class one.
