The Xinghua Economic Development Zone – located in Xinghua city, in East China's Jiangsu province – held a signing ceremony for six new projects costing 1.41 billion yuan ($193.93 million) on July 4.
They include a composite material production plant, two food production plants and three strategic cooperation projects.
Wang Yong, deputy secretary of the zone's Party working committee, said the projects had broad market prospects and strong development potential, which would enable them to contribute to the new driving forces for regional economic growth.
He added that the zone would create a favorable environment for project promotion with the biggest commitment, the best service and the strongest guarantees.
Looking ahead, plans are for the zone to join hands with the business enterprises involved in the projects to further strengthen cooperation and achieve resource sharing, thereby moving forward their start of operations.
