Chen Fengjian, Party secretary of Xinghua city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – led a team of municipal officials to supervise and improve flood prevention work on June 19.
The team conducted inspections of the Ganggu Drainage Station in Qianduo town, the West Shizha Station in Lincheng sub-district and the Guanmenzha Station in Zhaoyang sub-district.
The aim was to learn about the drainage capacity and operation of the stations and inquire about their preparations for flood prevention.
At the renovation site of Jinbang Road's waterlogging point, Chen emphasized the need to accelerate project implementation, carry out pipeline dredging work in a timely fashion, prepare sufficient emergency materials and ensure the safety of people's travel.
In terms of flood prevention work, Chen highlighted four key areas – accurately identifying hidden dangers, improving work plans, preventing secondary disasters and strengthening the collaborative cooperation of responsible people.
