Chen Fengjian, Party secretary of Xinghua city, in East China's Jiangsu province, conducted an inspection on June 12 of companies based in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone – located in the city's Lincheng sub-district.
At the end of last year, State-owned enterprises in the zone acquired Xinghua Huayun Express Co Ltd.
Through new automation equipment and strengthened management, the company's daily shipment volume increased from over 10,000 to over 30,000 items, while it also led the cutting of express delivery prices throughout the city.
Chen praised this and urged further systematic planning of express delivery logistics and the construction of a cold chain logistics system around the development of the local food industry.
Elsewhere, a developer and manufacturer of X-ray imaging equipment, Yueta Technology Taizhou Co Ltd, was introduced to the zone as a technology incubation project at the end of last year.
Chen inquired about the company's product development, talent team, main customers and development needs. He encouraged the company to increase its independent research and development efforts, consolidate its development advantages and seize market opportunities.
Chen then went to the construction site of a manufacturing project operated by Poly Orica (Jiangsu) Mining Machinery Co Ltd and a food production project invested by Beijing Jideli Foodstuff Co Ltd, inquiring about the progress of their project construction and difficulties.
