The villages of Anzhou, Beijiao and Shuangtan villages – located in Lincheng sub-district in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – were recently praised for the construction of civilized practice stations.
As a strong front for grassroots ideological and political work, the civilized practice station is a popular platform for rural people to learn scientific theories and political theories.
The three stations were said to represent three different and exemplary types, showing the way for others, according to an on-site observation meeting on Oct 19.
Due to a lack of funds, Anzhou village had to put on hold its plan of establishing a civilized practice station.
But the Party working committee of Lincheng sub-district then offered funds and physical support, paving the way for the station to open on Oct 7.
Elsewhere in Beijiao village, the five major functions of its previous station were scattered, inhibiting its ability to carry out activities.
But in September, the village reorganized the layout according to the requirements of the sub-district Party working committee and new fitness facilities – such as table tennis tables and walking fitness treadmills – were added.
Elsewhere, under the guidance of the sub-district Party working committee, Shuangtan village succeeded in building its station, as well as driving the construction of stations in seven other villages.
Lincheng sub-district is home to seven communities and 23 villages.
