The first night recruitment fairs kicked off on Aug 4 in Xinghua city –administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – and will run to September.
Held on every Friday and Saturday evening in the city's parks and commercial areas, they aim to create a more comfortable recruitment environment for young people, through the form of nighttime markets.
At the first event on Aug 4, recruiters from over 40 companies became "night market vendors" to attract talent, showcasing their own company's salaries, working environment, welfare subsidies and other information.
"This recruitment method is innovative and the on-site atmosphere is relatively relaxed. I feel my psychological pressure has been reduced," said a graduate from Jiangnan University.
The first event attracted the participation of 48 companies and offered 1,022 job positions, including roles in biopharmaceuticals, food processing and machinery manufacturing. It attracted more than 2,600 job seekers.
