The Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, has reaped good results in terms of project construction in the first half of this year.
From January to June, the zone's government revenue was 360 million yuan ($88.27 million), an increase of 53 percent year-on-year. Its tax revenue increased by 66 percent to 660 million yuan.
Meanwhile, the industrial invoiced sales in the zone during the period hit 10.55 billion yuan, up 8.7 percent.
In the first half of 2023, a total of 14 projects were signed, with a combined planned investment of 7.54 billion yuan. Of those, six were food projects, with a planned investment of 1.9 billion yuan.
