The Xinghua bureau of market regulation – located in Xinghua city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has streamlined and innovated its services to create an efficient and attractive business environment for resident enterprises.
The bureau has been innovating its service system since 2022 and now has 43 specific service items in 10 major service categories that are available for enterprises to access should they encounter problems.
To date, the bureau has helped enterprises resolve 4,052 specific issues.
Recently, while gearing up to produce new products, a Xinghua food manufacturer found that there was currently no corresponding food production license for that category of products, making it impossible to apply for one.
In response, the bureau conducted on-site visits to learn about the situation and then offered guidance on the factory site selection, workshop design layout and the drafting of new product review plans.
As a result, the company got the green light for the production of dried vegetable products, seasonings, grain milling products and other food products.
Looking ahead, plans are for the bureau to continue to be guided by the needs of local enterprises. Moreover, it will establish a response-based negotiation mechanism to enable policies to be more rational, reasonable and inclusive.
