Thirty-seven enterprises based in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, were recently included on the latest batch list of provincial specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs, that produce new and unique products.
The term "specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products" refers to businesses possessing the characteristics of specialization, refinement, uniqueness and novelty.
Earlier this year, the Xinghua bureau of industry and information technology established a database for nurturing innovative SMEs and specialized and sophisticated enterprises and organized service teams to conduct regular visits to them.
To set examples, the bureau selected 28 SMEs that produce new and unique products and offered tailored guidance for them – in a bid to help them apply for national-level recognition.
Currently, the city is home to 115 provincial-level specialized and sophisticated SMEs that produce new and unique products.
