Two new ventures that have settled in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – were recently recognized as demonstration projects for 2023 Jiangsu Province Agricultural and Rural Major Project Construction.
They are the food processing plant being invested by Nanjing Weicheng Food Co Ltd, which is based in Nanjing city in Jiangsu and the Phase I food processing project funded by Jiahao Food Co Ltd, from Xinghua city.
Starting construction in January 2023, the Nanjing Weicheng Food plant is expected to start operating in December this year, with a total investment of 506 million yuan ($70.3 million).
The facility will cover a floor space of 45,931 square meters, with the area for office and dormitory buildings totaling 6,756 sq m. The company will purchase 298 sets of equipment for the production there of food seasonings.
At full capacity, the plant will produce 30,000 metric tons of seasonings annually and generate annual sales of 1.2 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, the Jiahao Food's Phase I food processing plant, costing 100 million yuan, is situated in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone.
The project started and completed construction in January and December last year, respectively.
By introducing internationally advanced intelligent equipment – such as aseptic pipeline machines and vibrating fluidized beds – the plant mainly produces high-end seasonings, such as chicken essence and chicken juice.
The project can produce 5,000 tons of chicken essence, as well as 15,000 tons of chicken juice and soup base annually. It can generate annual invoiced sales of 600 million yuan and will pay taxes of 30 million yuan per annum.
Jiahao Food Co Ltd wants to develop it into a modern high-end seasoning factory that is green, eco-friendly, energy-saving and digitalized –becoming the largest compound seasoning production base in East China within three years.
