Xinghua, a county-level city administered by Taizhou, Jiangsu province, is a paradise for migratory birds and an ocean of reeds in winter.
In the Xuma wetland scenic area, people can spot black-faced spoonbills and other rare birds. In the winter season, the wetland reed marshes are covered in silver and the Qiuxue Lake is silent and serene, making it even more alluring then usual.
Elsewhere in Lizhong Water Forest Scenic Spot, black-crowned night heron and wild goose play freely and redwood trees reflect on the water, like a fairyland of ink painting.
The Wanmu Hetang scenic area is an excellent place to witness the residual lotus and reeds forming an ink painting scroll. Visitors can also encounter black-winged kite and white spoonbill birds joyfully playing and frolicking.
