Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province has been boosting the implementation of various agricultural machinery subsidy policies, in a bid to ensure food security and to accelerate the modernization of its agriculture and rural areas.
For machines and tools listed in a subsidy product catalog, a special methodology is being adopted to ensure the accurate distribution of subsidy funds.
This is the agricultural machinery purchase subsidy operation method, which involves an "item management, independent purchase, township acceptance, county-level settlement and direct subsidy to bank card".

Since the start of the year, 3.13 million yuan ($432,700) in agricultural machinery purchase subsidies and agricultural machinery scrapping subsidies have been issued, benefiting 301 households.
This has led to the scrapping of 146 sets of old agricultural machinery and resulted in the purchase of 120 sets of new agricultural machinery.
The agricultural machinery subsidies involve various agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters and seeders, meeting the diverse needs of farmers and agricultural machinery cooperatives.
The implementation of the subsidy policies has reduced the cost of purchasing machinery, stimulated the enthusiasm of farmers to buy agricultural machinery and promoted the upgrading of agricultural machinery equipment and the popularization of agricultural mechanization operations.
