Taixing city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, has been integrating the construction of good rural roads with coordinated urban-rural development, improvement of the living environment and the development of rural industries.
In the city's Gensi township, Jingyu Road has been widened and renovated from its original width of 4 meters to 6 m, greatly increasing its traffic-bearing capacity.
This year, Gensi has included the renovation of rural bridges and the upgrading of rural roads as practical projects to improve people's lives, solving the recurring problem of inconvenient travel for locals.

A rural road now stretches 11 km in Xuanbao town, strengthening the connection between villages and towns and connecting them to the town's various cultural attractions.
Relying on the rural road, the town has developed five featured tourism routes, including routes serving ginkgo pastoral scenery tourism and agricultural fun experience cultural tourism, attracting over 20 agritainment homestays and family farms to settle there.
In the current year, the city aims to repair 10 km of county roads, construct 80 km of rural roads and renovate 21 bridges, paving the way for rural roads to become the "expressway" for rural vitalization.
