The Hongqiao Industrial Park, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, set out the goal of achieving 40 billion yuan ($5.49 billion) in invoiced sales in the current year, told from a development conference on Feb 7.
Focusing on attracting projects in new energy ships and new energy vehicle components and more, the industrial park is aiming to sign up 36 projects worth over 100 million yuan each.
It also wants to break ground on 22 projects worth over 100 million yuan each and complete the construction of 14 projects worth over 100 million yuan each this year.
The park also unveiled a three-year action plan for technological innovation, refining the projects of nurturing innovative enterprises, breakthroughs in key technologies, upgrading innovation platforms and boosting innovation ecosystems, as well as 12 key tasks.
The industrial park will support enterprises to form innovation consortia, striving to add 20 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises.
Dedicated efforts will also be made to attract high-quality innovative resources and deepen cooperative relations with universities and institutes, with a goal of applying for six key scientific and technological innovation projects throughout the year.
For transformation and upgrades, the industrial park will encourage resident businesses to embrace digital and intelligent development and to accelerate technological improvements and product innovation.
