Six projects from Taixing city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, have been recognized as provincial major projects for the year 2025.
That's according to a list recently released by the Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission.
Costing a combined 11.66 billion yuan ($1.59 billion), the projects cover such fields as new generation information technology, new materials, equipment manufacturing and modern agriculture.
They include production projects for semiconductor precursor materials, polyurethane elastomer products, bio-based materials, ultrathin quartz electronic cloth substrates, containers and a modern agricultural industry integration development project.
In 2024, 40 projects were launched in the city, with a planned total investment of 30.32 billion yuan, including 10 projects worth over 1 billion yuan each.
The city also completed the construction of 37 projects last year, with a completed investment in actual use of 24.8 billion yuan.
