A whopping 48 cooperation agreements were signed at an autumn economic and trade technology negotiation conference on Oct 25, held in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province.
They included 36 industrial projects and a dozen technology cooperation projects, involving a combined investment of 45.05 billion yuan ($6.28 billion).
The newly signed projects cover a raft of emerging fields including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, industrial robots, new energy vehicles, hydrogen storage, civil aviation and biomedicines.
Among them is a research and production plant for high-performance liquid crystal polymer materials, a 1.05 billion yuan premium coffee processing plant and a 5.5 billion yuan plant for making graphite bipolar plates, membrane electrodes and hydrogen storage bottles.
It is expected that the settlement of the projects will provide strong support for Taixing to accelerate the industrial transformation, develop new quality productive forces and build a modern industrial system with high-quality development.
