Concerted efforts are being made by Quxia town – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – to expand the construction of projects and the number of enterprises based there, in order to scale up its economic development.
One of them is a new polymer materials plant to be operated by Jiangsu Xinlinglong Polymer Materials Co Ltd, whose main building is currently being erected.
With an investment of 100 million yuan ($13.79 million), the plant will focus on production, as well as research and development of eco-friendly polymer-friendly plastic powder products.
On completion, it's projected to produce 15,000 metric tons of plastic powder and generate 150 million yuan of invoiced sales annually.
To get the ball rolling, Quxia established a special team to offer services to projects and to urge them to pick up the pace of construction.
After adopting grain processing, machinery manufacturing and the health industries as prime growth drivers, the town is expected to break ground on four projects and report a 15 percent increase in industrial invoiced sales in the first half of this year.
Moving forward, plans are for Quxia town to continue to support technological innovation and industry-university-institute cooperation with individual enterprises.
