East China's Jiangsu province recently started the video production of a series of local chronicles – designed to run on online social platforms – to better inherit cultural heritage and boost community pride, with Huangqiao town in Taixing city involved in the first batch of 60 episodes.

Covering a total area of 176 square kilometers, Huangqiao is home to one provincial-level economic development zone and 66 villages or communities, with a total population of 230,000.

As a patriotic education demonstration base, the Battle of Huangqiao Memorial Hall in Huangqiao town records the scene of military and civilian unity, fighting bravely against the enemy in 1940.

Huangqiao town consists of three traditional and ancient neighborhoods in the east, west and south, with a total area of 230,000 square meters.

It boasts 24 extant streets and alleys and over 2,000 buildings built during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).

In terms of its green credentials and attractions, six ecologically livable and beautiful rural landscapes and one green and beautiful village in Huangqiao were recognized at the provincial level in 2022.

In addition, the town is home to one of the world's biggest violin production and manufacturing centers. It produces 700,000 violins every year, accounting for 70 percent of total production nationwide.
