Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province plans to start construction work on 53 projects worth over 500 million yuan ($69.64 million) each in the current year, with a combined investment of 62.4 billion yuan, according to the city's development and reform commission.
Their average investment is projected to top 1 billion yuan, with two major projects exceeding 5 billion yuan each.
Among the 53 projects, 45 belong to strategic emerging industries and 31 projects involve products that will be sold to the market.
In terms of their level of intelligence, 49 projects will build industrial internet platforms. What's more, their investment in intelligent equipment – such as CNC machine tools and industrial robots – will account for over 30 percent of their main equipment.
With regard to the collective use of land, 53 projects plan to use 5,209 mu (347 hectares) of land, with the proportion of land that has been put into use exceeding 30 percent.
