Taixing – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – held an investment promotions conference in Shenzhen city, in South China's Guangdong province, on Jan 5.
Over 100 representatives from companies and chambers of commerce attended.
Taixing Mayor Liu Wenrong talked about his city's strengths in terms of its industries, location and business environment.
Lui added that as a frontier city for reform and opening-up, Shenzhen had abundant resources and obvious advantages in industrial innovation, technological research and development. This made it an important area for Taixing to carry out investment cooperation and exploit high-end resources, Lui said.
A total of 24 projects were signed up at the event, including 18 industrial projects and six technology talent cooperation projects. With a combined investment of 13.38 billion yuan ($1.88 billion), the 24 projects cover such fields as new materials, new energy, equipment manufacturing and new energy storage, among others.
