Three bases in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – were recently recognized as provincial-level social practice demonstration bases for promoting the growth of children.
They include the Qixiang Youth Comprehensive Practice base in Huangqiao town, the Yang Gensi Martyrs Cemetery and the Taixing New Era Civilization Practice Center.
As of now, the Qixiang Youth Comprehensive Practice base has conducted over 100 research and learning activities for minors during summer holidays, receiving over 10,000 students.
The Yang Gensi Martyrs Cemetery has visited about 40 schools in surrounding cities to promote the heroic deeds of Yang Gensi, a Taixing combat hero during the War of Liberation (1946-49).
The Taixing New Era Civilization Practice Center has offered voluntary hosting services for children, and provided closed-loop management and customized courses for them.
