Taixing's fine chemicals and new materials industry is mainly concentrated in the Taixing Economic Development Zone.
At present, more than 120 companies have settled there from various countries, including 19 of Fortune Global 500 enterprises.
Three industrial clusters for new chlor-alkali chemical materials, new high-end fine chemicals and new special chemicals materials have been formed. There are a number of market-leading enterprises there led by Xinpu Chemical, Yanchang Zhongran, Akzo Nobel, Arkema and Tomson Acrylic.
The main directions are functional chemicals and special chemicals, developing the four deep processing sectors for hydrogen, chlorine, ethylene and propylene.
Relying on its existing and planned upstream raw materials supplies, Taixing is focusing on the development of new chemicals materials – such as high-grade water absorbent resin, engineering plastics, elastomer, polyurethane and plastic alloys.
