The D Tank of the China National Offshore Oil Co's Golden Bay "Green Energy Port" Phase II project in Zhuhai, which Jiangsu Daming Metal Technology Co in Jingjiang is helping build, recently completed its pre-cooling filling and liquid injection.
This is the first LNG tank with a world-leading single-container capacity of 270,000 cubic meters to be commisioned in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The storage tank is 65.7 meters tall and nearly 100 meters in diameter, with a capacity equivalent to 614 standard swimming pools. It can store 169 million cu m of natural gas, meeting the gas demands of 22 million residents for two months.
Relying on its extensive experience in processing all kinds of steels, including the 9Ni type, and advanced equipment like the Linsinger automatic beveling machine, Daming has coordinated with the steel mill to efficiently fabricate the inner tank to a high quality.
To date, Daming has serviced over 70 LNG tanks and has prefabricated more than 100,000 metric tons of material.
