Jin Zhengyu, president of the China Institute of Bio-fermentation and Future Food Industry – located in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, in East China's Jiangsu province – was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
As an expert in the deep processing of grain, he was the president of the School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University, director of the State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Technology and vice-president of Jiangnan University.
Jin Zhengyu, together with his team, deeply cultivated the field of grain deep processing for more than 30 years. Through theoretical innovation, technological research and development – as well as equipment upgrades – they've promoted the industrialization, convenience, nutrition and high-value component development of staple foods.
Jin holds 163 authorized invention patents, including 10 international invention patents.
