The 12th Jiangsu Technology Entrepreneurship Competition and the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Jiangsu Division, focusing on the new materials industry, kicked off in Hailing district, Taizhou, on Aug 29.
Shen Bing, deputy secretary-general of the Taizhou municipal people's government, said in his speech that the competition is meant to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces and foster emerging industries.
Shen also welcomed valuable feedback from all participants and extended an invitation to entrepreneurs to invest in Taizhou.
Liu Jianbo, head of Hailing, mentioned in his speech that it is the largest, most prestigious, and most wide-reaching entrepreneurship competition in Jiangsu.
As the host, Hailing is dedicated to providing superior services to innovators and entrepreneurs, offering broader development opportunities, promoting outstanding achievements, and jointly fostering new quality productive forces in the new materials industry, according to Liu.
Li Taisheng, director of the competition's organizing committee office, said that he hopes this competition will serve as a platform for innovators and entrepreneurs to connect with industries in Taizhou, thereby driving breakthroughs in Jiangsu's new materials industry.
Since its launch in June this year, the competition has attracted a total of 7,365 project entries. After previous competition across 13 local contests in Jiangsu, 95 teams and enterprises have gathered in Hailing district to compete for the coveted spots in the provincial finals and national competition.
