Manufacturer LONGi Solar Technology (Taizhou) Co Ltd – in Hailing district of Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province – is continuing to focus on innovation to accelerate the pace of its development, a process it began in recent years.
The company says its 11.2-gigawatt new-generation solar module project has adopted the world's most advanced equipment and refashioned the production process to tailor exclusive components to distributed users worldwide.
The project is the third one launched by the group within nine years of its settlement in Hailing district.
Overall, the rapid development of enterprises in Hailing has resulted from its practice of promoting smart and digital transformations, as well as internet connectivity.
In recent years, LONGi has invested 2 billion yuan ($275.90 million) to build 16 fully automatic production lines for high-efficiency single crystal solar panel components.
Last year, the company underwent its biggest upgrading, with all machines updated and replaced. This is said to have contributed to the entire production capacity being increased by more than 30 percent.
"At present, we are making some minor technological improvements to strive for breakthroughs in intelligence, so that production capacity can steadily increase," said Chen Kai, deputy general manager of the company.
