A full-cycle circular economy industrial supply chain centered on the Hailing district of Taizhou city – radiating out to cover the prefecture-level city and East China's Jiangsu province – will gradually be formed to scale up waste classification and recycling.
The concept behind the circular economy is to recycle as much as possible in the country, reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency – all with the view of helping China achieve its carbon neutral and peak carbon emissions targets.
Taizhou city's ambitious plans were aired recently. That was followed by a signing ceremony held on April 9 in East China's Shanghai.
That's when Taizhou Yicheng Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd in Hailing district, Shanghai Yuekun Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd and Jokoson Environment (Shanghai) Co Ltd committed to joining hand-on waste classification and recycling.
According to ATRenew Group, the parent company of Shanghai Yuekun Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd, more than 400 units of "recycling all things" equipment will be installed – starting from Hailing and extending outwards – within 2-3 months.
Leveraging the advantages of its effective distribution network in 38 cities such as Beijing and Guangzhou, ATRenew Group will promote the intelligent classification and collection equipment of Hailing's garbage system to go out of Taizhou and go national.
For a long time now, Yicheng Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd has independently developed various intelligent garbage classification devices with its own intellectual property rights.
To date, it has placed over 180 series of products throughout Hailing district – including intelligent classification, intelligent recycling, intelligent cleaning and intelligent cloud computing units, with over 20,000 registered users.
