The port logistics industrial park in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – recently ramped up the pace of its development.
As of Dec 25, the park had signed up eight projects worth over 500 million yuan ($70.13 million) each, with three of them breaking ground.
At the construction site of a rice and bran natural refined wax plant, workers were carrying out basic factory building on Dec 20.
With a total investment of $32 million, on completion, the plant is expected to process 7,600 metric tons of refined wax and wax grease annually.

"The project reprocesses low-value by-products – such as rice bran and rice husks generated during the processing of rice and soybeans – turning them into high-value refined wax," said park official Xu Hao.
Elsewhere, in Yonganzhou town, workers were moving up construction operations to ensure a Suzhong Smart Logistics Park plant reached targeted output on schedule.
The project is expected to boost the integrated development of a shipping center, a smart storage center, a trade settlements center and a smart logistics platform.
